1. LegacyReady Is Not a Law Firm

LegacyReady is an information organizer, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of LegacyReady. The service is designed to help you organize practical information about your accounts, documents, policies, and personal wishes in one place. It does not draft legal documents, interpret laws, or substitute for professional legal counsel.

2. Organizational Tool Only

LegacyReady is a guided organizational tool. It helps you record the locations of important documents, contact information for your professionals, and your personal preferences and wishes. The content you enter is for your own reference and for the benefit of the trusted contacts you choose to share it with. LegacyReady does not verify, validate, or act on the information you provide.

3. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and currency of the information you enter into LegacyReady. We recommend reviewing and updating your information at least annually or whenever significant life changes occur. LegacyReady is not liable for any consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information in your account.

4. Consult Licensed Professionals

For legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, you should consult a licensed attorney in your state. For financial planning, insurance decisions, and tax matters, consult a qualified financial advisor or accountant. LegacyReady is a complement to professional advice, not a replacement for it.

5. Subscription and Payment Terms

LegacyReady offers several pricing options including one-time purchases and monthly subscriptions. Key terms:

• Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your account settings
• Upon cancellation, you retain access through the end of your current billing period
• After your subscription ends, your data is retained for 90 days before deletion
• You may export your data at any time while your account is active
• One-time PDF purchases are non-recurring and include no ongoing service obligations

6. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you are not satisfied with LegacyReady for any reason within 30 days of your purchase, contact us at support@legacyready.io for a full refund. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

7. Referral Program Disclosure

LegacyReady works with legal professionals, financial advisors, and other referral partners who may receive compensation for referring customers. This is disclosed in lieu of traditional advertising spend. Referral relationships do not affect the price customers pay or the advice they receive from their own professionals.

8. Intellectual Property

The LegacyReady name, logo, website design, application interface, guided section templates, and all associated content are the intellectual property of LegacyReady. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without prior written permission.

The personal data and content you enter into LegacyReady remains yours. We claim no ownership over your information. You grant us only the limited license necessary to store, display, and transmit your data as part of providing the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegacyReady and its founders, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of data, revenue, or opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of LegacyReady shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the application at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of LegacyReady after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
